At Mighty Thor Pet Food, we are committed to operating as a green-focused and environmentally responsible business.
Our packaging uses wax-lined, 1kg cardboard containers that are both compostable and recyclable. They are designed for single-use convenience, making portioning simple while reducing environmental impact. As both a pet owner and a business, I strive to be as carbon neutral as possible, with a strong belief that we all have a responsibility to protect our natural environment and aim to leave the planet better than we found it.
Looking ahead, as the business grows, one of our goals is to give back by supporting organisations such as ocean clean-up initiatives and local dog shelters around Perth.
Honest Packaging, Real Considerations
Because our pet food is made fresh and then frozen, there are times when the containers may soften slightly during defrosting. For this reason, we recommend either placing the container in a supportive tray or transferring the contents into a more sturdy, reusable container after thawing.
We’ve worked closely with our customers and actively sought feedback on this. While we explored the option of using more durable plastic containers, which are less environmentally friendly, the overwhelming response was clear, our customers preferred to keep the current packaging due to its compostable, recyclable nature and simple 1kg portion sizing.
